I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, childhood sexual abuse, and domestic violence. I hold degrees in Social Psychology and Social Work, and received my clinical training in diverse settings, such as a community homeless and refugee center, domestic violence and assault counseling center, domestic violence and assault shelter, and private practice.
I love the work that I do and have had the privilege of working with men and women experiencing a broad spectrum of serious mental health symptoms, as well as with those having a period in their life where they’ve just been feeling “off” and overwhelmed by the stresses of work, life, and/or relationships. Therapy can be extremely beneficial to foster growth and increase insight in all aspects of your life. My approach to therapy is a reflection of my diverse experience and training. I provide a safe environment where we can explore what has prevented you from feeling connected and alive. As we explore together, I will help bring awareness to patterns that all too often have dictated mood or behavior.
Some of the approaches I use to do this are Somatic Experiencing, NARM, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These are just some of the therapeutic modalities I draw from that allow me to tailor my approach to healing and growth that is best for you. I work to create the safety, awareness and respect needed for self-acceptance and change.
