Dr. Brunkenhoefer received her doctorate in Counseling Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Dr. Brunkenhoefer has worked in community mental health, serving adults and children, for over 20 years. She has experience working with severe mental illness and providing crisis services. She has worked in private practice helping children and families struggling with behavior and attachment issues. She provided intake assessment and diagnostics for both adult s and children. Dr. Brunkenhoefer is trained and certified to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Brunkenhoefer enjoys helping motivated clients work through anxiety, relationship issues, and change. She enjoys presenting at the national, state, and local levels on various topics related to mental health and well-being. She stays active in professional counseling organizations. In her personal time she enjoys outdoor activities, gardening, cooking, listening to podcasts walking, and spending time with her children and husband.
